Jack McCurry’s 2017 NFL Mock Draft 2.0

We’re now 24 days away from the NFL draft and hitting the home stretch. The Scouting Combine was a month ago and the majority of the college pro days are finished. 

NFL teams are now diving into private workouts and pre-draft visits. The Browns use the private workouts as a resource more than the pro days especially with the quarterback position because it’s more hands on and let’s them run things their way instead of the prospect and their agent’s way.

That’s why if you’ve seen reports that head coach Hue Jackson and VP of Football Operations Sashi Brown didn’t go to the top quarterback’s pro days, don’t panic because they were likely working out another quarterback.

  2. San Francisco 49ers-DE Solomon Thomas, Stanford-rumors swirling they could trade down
  3. Chicago Bears-S Jamal Adams, LSU-John Fox needs to bolster the secondary
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars-TE OJ Howard, Alabama-give Bortles another weapon to see what he can do
  5. Tennessee Titans (from LA Rams)-CB Marshon Lattimore, Ohio State-Titans continue to build their young defense
  6. New York Jets-QB Deshaun Watson, Clemson-Jets maybe tanking or they could be smokescreening to get the QB they want
  7. Los Angeles Chargers-S Malik Hooker, Ohio State-Hooker reunites with former teammate Joey Bosa
  8. Carolina Panthers-RB Leonard Fournette, LSU-rumors swirling Carolina may trade up to ensure this pick
  9. Cincinnati Bengals-DE Derek Barnett, Tennessee-Barnett joining Geno Atkins on the line is a scary thought for Browns fans
