Terrelle Pryor leaves Browns, signs with Redskins

After weeks of negotiations, wide receiver Terrelle Pryor will leave the Cleveland Browns and sign with the Washington Redskins.

The deal is for one year and worth $8 million dollars.

Pryor and his agent Drew Rosenhaus had continuous negotiations with the Browns during the offseason but the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement.

They were asking for $52 million dollars over four years, the Browns were willing to do a deal with incentives to get to that point but Rosenhaus believed that he could get his number on the open market.

Obviously he didn’t and now Pryor is taking a one year, “prove it” deal with the Redskins and try to cash in next offseason.

In his first full season as a wide receiver, Pryor caught 77 passes for 1,004 yards and four touchdowns and was one of the few bright spots of the 1-15 season.

The Browns signed Kenny Britt to a four year deal on Thursday and he will somewhat fill the void Pryor is leaving. He too just had a 1,000 yard season with the LA Rams but he’s been in the league for eight seasons.

If fans want to be angry and point the finger at anyone, it’s at Pryor’s agent, not at him.
